Event Title: Granny's Christmas Sale At St. Johns Aparts.
Event Date: November 23, 2024
Event Description: You may have heard that granny got run over by a raindeer, but I'm here to tell you that it just isn't so. She is well, as are other grandmas who reside at St. John's Apartments. We have been busy doing our yearly Christmas Sale. Grandma Cindy has been so busy doing affordable jewelry and diamond art that she may feel like a raindeer ran over her, but it didn't. Grandma Wendy is a real gem, she's our rock artist! Our Grandma Rachel has an assortment of fun novelty Christmas items, need some snowman poop? She's got it! She also has lovely jewelry, Grandma Marsha has had her oven stoked up and going making delightful yummy baked goods, Grandma Buffy has Small Vintage Items and Christmas Decorations, Grandma Debbie and Benda have been into their ever so lovely diamond art for months. We've got lots more too. Come and check us out.
By the Way, we have a granny who likes to spin stories, here's one of them:
Granny's Christmas Eve
Twas the night before Christmas at Granny's house
Not a creature was stirring not even her spouse
The support stockings were hung by the chimney to air
In hopes they'd be dry by the morning to wear
Granny was nestled all snug in her bed
Hoping her note to Santa would be read
Gramps was dreaming of a new Packers Cap
While grandma was petting the cat on her lap
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
She sprang from the bed to see what was the matter
There in the yard lay a man dressed in red
He laid so still you'd think he was dead!
He finally arose and climbed up on his sleigh
She swore she saw him plain as day.
Suddenly down the chimney he sent
A big fat red bag that he pulled as he went
He spoke not a word but went straight to work
Filling the stockings, he turned with a jerk
He saw granny standing there and gave her a look
Digging into his bag he gave her a book
The book title read,” Recipes for Santa's Plate”
She noted the cookies Santa already ate.
Looking at Santa, she had such a smile
She was happier than she'd been in a while
His eyes- how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle
Then he shouted to granny, “you're quite a pistol!”
Then she heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight-
“ Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
And that's how granny spent Christmas Eve...honest!
My apologies to Clement Clarke Moore for messing with his classic poem.
