GriefShare grief support group

Event Description: GriefShare is a support group for those grieving the death of a loved one. Our participants include those who have lost a spouse, child, parent, sibling, relative or friend; to disease, accident, firearms, alcohol/drugs, drowning, suicide, aging, COVID, dementia, sudden, and prolonged suffering.

Grief is individual - healing has no timetable or formula. Some of our participants are grieving a death from 5 to 10 years ago. They discovered they never healed and it has interfered with moving a healthy life foward.
The GriefShare series is designed so you can enter at any time - when you are ready you can join us. Many participants join after the 13-week series has begun. They can then complete what they missed when the next series begins. Many repeat the series 2 and 3 times. About half of our groups consist of series repeaters.
You are encouraged but not expected to share. Typically people share more as they feel more comfortable and trust within the group. All comments are confidential to the group. You will find it a very safe place to share, cry, laugh, and struggle, all of which take place in every session. Our group leaders are experienced, understanding, and faithful guides for your healing and hope through God's mercy and grace.
If you are hesitant, so we encourage you to attend up to 3 sessions before you make your decision. The $20 covers the workbook cost, which can be paid on site.
We meet every Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Please contact us ahead of time regarding child care and we will try to make it available
